Full Review

Euro Palace is a casino registered in Malta since June 2010. It is part of the Fortune Lounge group, which also runs Royal Vegas and Vegas Palms, among others. Coming from such a well-established group, you may rest assured that the site is up to date and completely secure. It’s also one of the easier online casino sites to navigate around. There’s no hunting for what you want – just log on and start playing. Everything you need is at most a couple of clicks away.

Although the site design isn’t exactly groundbreaking, it is clean and efficient and lacks the Vegas-style tackiness that seems to infest the gaming industry. This means that, instead of being put off by the garishness of the design around the slots, your eye is rather drawn by the games themselves, which is definitely a good thing. That being said, though, something more could be done with the pages. They seem somewhat barren and bare. But, as has already been pointed out, you’re more inclined to pay attention to the games instead.

Since this is a Microgaming site, the games are available through the developer’s downloadable platform. However, Euro Palace also offer an Instant Play option, which lets you play in your web browser without downloading anything; and, of course, there’s the mobile platform too. So all in all, a well-rounded, well-balanced, effective casino.

WELCOME BONUS

Your first encounter with this site will of course be when you sign up, and in order to make this more likely, the site has a generous Welcome Bonus. For your first deposit, you get a 100% match bonus up to €/£/$150, and a 50% match bonus up to €/£/$350 on your second deposit. All told, you can get a respectable €/£/$500 for your efforts.

Terms and conditions, alas, do apply, but they’re fairly standard, with nothing really unexpected. Your second deposit has to be made within 7 days of your first deposit, otherwise you can’t get the second bonus. However, the good thing is that there’s a separate bonus for high rollers depositing a minimum of €/£/$1,000 for the first deposit. A deposit of this size will get the punter a cool €/£/$1,500 bonus free. Extra strings here, though: the wagering requirement on the high roller bonus is 50x the bonus amount, but still, it’s a €/£/$1,500 bonus. So that’s quite nice.

OTHER BONUSES

Euro Palace have a few attractive deals and promotions, including a bonus on certain payment methods and a point-based loyalty program.

Payment method bonus

The payment method bonus will give you a 10% bonus on the first deposit you make, in addition to the Welcome Deposit described above, if you use one of the following payment methods: Ukash, Neteller, EcoCard, EntroPay, Skrill, ClickandBuy, CLICK2PAY, or Transferencia Bancaria Local. In order to claim your once-off bonus, enter the corresponding bonus code, which you can find on the Euro Palace website. This bonus can only be claimed once, and only by using one of these payment methods. However, 10% is a nice bonus to get, especially when added to the first part. The limit on this bonus is 100 credits on a purchase of 1,000 credits.

Loyalty points

This one does what it says on the tin. For every credit you play at Euro Palace, you will get rewarded with loyalty points. Different games have different levels of reward: slots pay out on a 1:1 basis, whereas for Blackjack and All Aces video poker, 100 credits wagered will get you 1 loyalty point. Once you reach 5,000 loyalty points, you can exchange them for money. 1,000 points will get you €1, so the more you play, the more you win. Currency conversions will be done according to the exchange rate at the time according to Euro Palace’s pay scale.

In addition to earning loyalty points, you can also move up the scale. You start with silver level status, which you get automatically when you start playing for real money, and this earns you 2,500 points. If you earn at least 10,000 points in one calendar month, you move up the gold level. Earn 25,000 points, and you’ll move to platinum status, and 75,000 points will earn you diamond status. Each level brings with it extra bonuses and benefits, and extra points too. At gold, platinum, and diamond levels, you also get massive bonuses for playing on your birthday. In order to keep your preferential status, you need to earn a minimum number of points per month, otherwise you’ll move back down a level, unless you’re on the silver level, in which case you can’t be demoted.

Your loyalty points must be redeemed within 60 days, otherwise they will expire. However, the good news is that you can link your loyalty points to any others you earn at any other Fortune Lounge casino, so that’s nice.

OTHER BONUSES

Euro Palace also run weekly and monthly bonuses, including cruises, gadget giveaways, and lucky draws. Keep an eye on their promotions page for more information.

SOFTWARE PROVIDER

Euro Palace, like the other casinos in the Fortune Lounge group, uses the Microgaming platform to provide its slots and casino games. These are available as either browser-based Flash games, or on the downloadable Microgaming platform. Isle of Man-based Microgaming is well-known within the online gambling community, and in fact claim to have created the first truly online casino, all the way back in 1994, when most of us didn’t have access to the Internet, and if we did, it was through a slow dial-up connection. My, how times have changed…

Anyway, they have produced some of the most iconic online slots, including The Dark Knight, the Mega Moolah jackpot slot, and the Arthurian-themed Avalon II, which is destined for classic status. Since Euro Palace have access to most of Microgaming’s back catalog, they also host some of the progressive jackpot games, such as Mega Moolah. Simply put, there’s a lot of winning that needs to be done.

GAMES SELECTION

With more than 270 video slots, 125 classic slots, and almost 150 jackpots and traditional casino games, punters are seriously spoiled for choice here.

Since this is Microgaming territory, you know that you’re going to have fun. The main jackpots, including various forms of Mega Moolah and The Dark Knight are of course big draw cards, but the range of other slots will impress even the most cynical and demanding player. Popular choices include Avalon 2, which sends the player off on a quest to retrieve the Holy Grail; Lucky Koi, with its focus on health, happiness, and feng shui; and the vampiric Immortal Romance, which is far more realistic and with a much better storyline than a recent popular series of films and novels dealing with vampires. All in all, there’s a lot to choose from here.

Popular table and card games are also available, including video poker, blackjack, roulette, pai gow, and rummy, amongst others. Simply put, this is a very nicely balanced selection of games. Since there’s such a wide variety, and since the download platform is so easy to navigate, you’ll have great fun looking around and seeing what else is available.

JACKPOTS

Euro Palace offers 25 jackpot games, which is not too bad at all. The biggest draws are Mega Moolah and The Dark Knight, which, because they’re progressive, offer staggering payouts. However, if you’re of a mind to play for less, they have a good choice of lower payouts with as much fun as their bigger brothers.

The progress jackpots, though, are the ones which we’ll focus on here. Since they tap into the Europe-wide system that takes part of every wager placed and adds it to the pot, the potential winnings grow quite large. The Dark Knight and Mega Moolah run the same jackpot, but they are separate games. At the time of writing, the jackpot stood at a very respectable €2.1 million. That should make everyone sit up and take note.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

There are, of course, 2 ways to play: practise or for real. While practise is all good and well, the real fun starts when you decide to make a deposit. The question, of course, is how to do this. Euro Palace has a range of options, including credit and debit card payments, direct bank transfers, and the increasingly popular e-wallets, which give the depositor peace of mind and certainty in his or her payments. As we’ve already described above, making payments using one of the preferred payment methods will result in a 10% bonus. These e-wallets have the added benefit of reduced transfer fees, which is always nice when you think about how much banks charge for international transfers. E-wallets also help to ensure security in your payment, and can also accept withdrawals as well as making deposits. Please note that some of the bank payment methods, especially direct bank transfers, do not allow you to make withdrawals from your account in the same way.

Some of the options for payments include Skrill, Neteller, Ukash, and credit cards including Visa and MasterCard. Diner’s Club and Amex are not accepted, unfortunately.

MOBILE-ADAPTED

In the modern world, not having a mobile presence means not having a presence at all. Euro Palace have provided a good selection of games and a user-friendly platform for their users on the move. Punters have access to some of the latest video slots on offer, including Thunderstruck 2 and Immortal Romance, as well as progressive jackpots like Mega Moolah.

Euro Palace Mobile is compatible with iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Java-based smartphones, and tablet support is available for iPads, Samsung Galaxy Tabs, BlackBerry, Asus and Sony tablets.

In addition to the wide support, new mobile players get a €/£/$500 Welcome bonus for opening an account with Euro Palace, and also can claim all of the bonuses and promotions available to other players.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

Euro Palace’s customer service is available in many languages, although for non-English gamers, support may be limited outside office hours. English-language support is available all day, every day, though. If you’re calling in the same country, the call is free unless specified otherwise. However, calls outside your country will incur international charges, so bear that in mind when calling them.

In addition to phone support, you can also contact the support line via live chat, email, Skype, iMessage, or, for those on the move, via WhatsApp and BBM. The casino is based in Malta, so arguably you could write a letter to them directly, but in this day and age, it’s a bit slow. Best to stick to the faster modern means of communication.

SECURITY

Euro Palace uses secure 128-bit SSL Digital Encryption, which is the same security technology used by banks and financial institutions. They use the Entrust software to accomplish this, so any private or sensitive data is completely safe. In addition, only reputable financial providers and transfer methods are used. Euro Palace also specifically states that they do not endorse spam, nor will they sell or give away your data to third parties.
